Her efforts also helped clear her late father, Director Leon Vance, of any suspicion surrounding a controversial investigation.

Speaking with TVLine, showrunner Steven D. Binder confirmed that Kayla is expected to return in some capacity during Season 24, although exactly how she fits into the story remains undecided.
